Summertime Series? Newest Summertime Movie Review.

Summertime Secrets certainly was a treat to watch! 

Created by LPSHannah, Kaylie returns once again to Colette’s home, where she meets again with Chris. Several issues arise, such as meeting his ex-girlfriend.

The plot points, emotions expressed, and music were spot on. In addition, Kaylie and Chris are wonderful examples of how a relationship should work; you should be able to share your secrets. 

Throughout the film, it displayed several unique aspects. One included Chris’s ex-girlfriend; the expected  thing to do would have her be a bully to Kaylie; instead, it was the anxiety from her past that caused her troubles. A similar aspect included Kaylie’s anxiety attack; I don’t believe I’ve ever seen such emotion displayed so perfectly, fitting the scene with her flashbacks. The crude words of her past were able to be broken when Chris was finally able to get to her, and reassured her everything was fine. A final aspect was Kaylie’s mother; she didn’t agree with everything she did, but she was there for her like a real mother. She watched out for Kaylie and had different opinions on Chris, something any real parent would do.

As for the editing, everything worked perfectly. The lighting was appropriately used for each setting; different levels were used for different scenes. The music also matched each scene, perfectly portraying the mood. And finally, the effects were spot on, such as with Kaylie’s nightmares.

Chris and Kaylie’s relationship was enjoyable to watch! The emotions expressed and the romance happening flowed greatly; their relationship made it seem like they were made for each other. Each part was balanced. When things were out of control, they were eventually able to solve them. For a long distance relationship, they are doing pretty well.

All in all, Summertime Secrets was a wonderful film. Interesting aspects, a great set-up, and a perfect relationship made way for success. I know I’m excited to see if this ‘Summertime’ series will continue; these films all have great messages that many people can relate to. Keep up the great work, LPSHannah!
